#7. Helloween - Into the Sun (Outtake/Unreleased/Lost Media)

Into the Sun is a song that was recorded in the Helloween (2021) album sessions but was left out. The existence of this song is mentioned thanks to Michael Kiske. In an interview he gave for Eonmusic in June 2021 he said the following: "I still think we could have used the ballad, and we had one, or we have one. Andi has written a great, great ballad. The way they produced it, during the production they changed it so much that in the end he didn’t like it anymore. They changed the key to a lower key, they used a different kind of instrumentation with a piano and stuff like that. I liked it, but the producers and himself, they were just not so happy with it, so they want to come back next time to the original version and do it the way it was in the beginning. That’s the only thing I think the album could use; not killing any songs, just put that extra ballad on there." Going on to praise Deris's songwriting ability, and also to mention the name of the song, he concluded;...

#6. Black Sabbath - Slapback (Demo/Outtake)

Slapback is a previously unreleased song recorded in 1979 in pre-production rehearsals for the album Heaven and Hell (1980). Asked in an interview with SiriusXM's "Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk" on Monday (March 8) if he knew anything about this purportedly unreleased tune, Butler said: "Yeah, that was one of the songs that we did before I left," referring to the fact that he exited SABBATH for a short time during the "Heaven And Hell" sessions while he was dealing with some personal issues. "It's probably the reason I did leave. [Laughs] It was just one of those songs that didn't make the grade." Asked if he in fact played bass on the recording th...

#4. Black Sabbath - What's the Use (Bonus Track)

What's the Use is a bonus track that appears on the Japan edition of the album Cross Purposes (1994). A small peculiarity of this song is that the main riff is reminiscent of the song Rusty Cage  (1991) by Soundgarden. Listen: Lyrics: What's the use of paradise Or everyday of livin' They spend and learn in heaven, sin in hell What's the point of children When evil got before them They learn in every tale we tell There's no point in being kind What's the use when love becomes an evil of the mind Oh yeah! What's the use of power When the battle isn't equal And we're all too scared to use it anyway What's the point of reason When no one wants to listen Deliverance is all too far away There's no point in being kind What's the use when love becomes an evil of the mind Oh yeah! Ooh what's the use There's no point in being kind What's the use when love becomes an evil of the mind Oh yeah! Ooh what's the use Tell me ooh what...
